A Carnation for Edebiyatta Üç Nokta

The latest issue of Edebiyatta Üç Nokta commemorates with a carnation on the cover the victims of the massacres of Ankara and Paris, and presents a portrait of Sennur Sezer, the poet who passed away last November.

The magazine also contains a cover issue about the poetry of Tuğrul Tanyol, with two new poems (“Dünya 2015” and “Bir Japon Resminden”), and critical writings by Haydar Ergülen, Bâki Ayhan T, Şerif Mehmet Uğurlu, Fatih Özdemir, Emel Koşar, Gonca Özmen, Haluk Öner, and Sevda Gülakan Kaman. Among the foreign poets present in this issue, Australian poets Kit Kelen and Les Wiks, and the Belgian Lies Van Gasse are presented in the translation by Cenk Gültekin.  Enjoy the reading!

Two Appointments with Turkish Poetry!

Save the date! Poets Efe Duyan and Matthias Göritz will hold a German-Turkish reading and a dialogue tomorrow, moderated by Fügen Uğur, at 7 pm. The poetry event will be bilingual, as Duyan has translated into Turkish the poems by Göritz. The adress is Istiklal Cad. Asmalı Mescit Mah. Emir Nevruz Sok. Panayia Apt. The second appointment concerns the poetry of Nazim Hikmet: a symposium will be held on the 14th and 15th December at Boğaziçi Üniversitesi, with the participation of (among others) Nilay Özer, Gülce Başer, küçük İskender, Deniz Durukan, Ömer Erdem, Mahmut Temizyürek, Nazmi Ağıl, and Gonca Özmen.
